Logo, product mark and safe areas
Your logo, the brand kit's logo slot, the ChartBuilder mark on free exports, and where a platform's own UI covers your video.
Three different marks get confused with each other. They are not the same thing.
Your logo
An element in the overlay layer. Press o, add or select the logo, and drag it wherever you want it.
Because it is an ordinary overlay element, it can be scaled, given an opacity, reordered, timed to appear partway through, and switched off for one video with "not in this video". It is anchored to the frame, so the camera never moves it and it can never be cut off.
The brand kit's logo slot
Appearance → Logo is a different thing: it is the logo stored on your brand kit, which is identity. Applying a kit stamps that logo into the project as an overlay element.
Editing the element changes this video. Editing the kit changes what the next project starts with.
The ChartBuilder mark
Not yours, and not part of the overlay
Exports from an account without an active paid subscription carry a small "made with ChartBuilder" mark. It is drawn after the picture is finished, so nothing in any panel affects it and no eye reaches it. The editor preview stays clean — it appears in the exported file only.

Platform safe areas
On a vertical video the platform draws its own interface over your picture: a status bar at the top, an action rail down the right, captions and navigation across the bottom.
Settings → Appearance → Theme → Safe area outlines those zones for Shorts, TikTok or Reels.
The zones are estimates, and they are labelled as such on the canvas
Platform interfaces shift with app version, device and caption length. Treat the outlines as "keep clear of roughly here", not as a specification.
They are shown in the Output pane and the export preview, and never in the exported file — the one deliberate place where the preview shows something the export will not. They are also not drawn in the Editor pane at all, because that pane is always fit-all and frame-relative zones over a picture that is never exported would be misleading.
Nothing is drawn for 16:9. The zones only exist for portrait.
Using them
Turn the matching platform on before you position your title, your caption band and anything in a corner. It takes ten seconds and it is the difference between a title the platform covers and one it does not.
