Zones

A zone is a filled rectangle across a price band — supply, demand, a range, a gap, a session. It is the annotation you will reach for most.

Press r and drag.

Shape

The drag sets both the price band and the column span. Afterwards the eight handles resize it and dragging the middle moves it.

Edges snap to the gaps between candles, so a zone covers whole bars rather than cutting two in half. Hold Ctrl to place them freely — see price scale and snapping.

Look

A zone with opacity at 0 and a visible stroke is an outline, which is often what you want over a busy chart.

Timing

Three fields, in the same order and the same colours on every element in the app:

• Appears at — the column it arrives on. Amber on the canvas.
• Disappears at — the column it leaves on, if ever. Red on the canvas.
• Transition — how it arrives, covered under reveal and animation.

A zone drawn while the chart is at candle 40 does not appear at frame zero — it appears at 40. That is almost always what you want, and the field is right there when it is not.

Reveal styles worth knowing

• Wipe grows the zone from one edge, which reads as "this area is being marked out".
• Fade is the neutral choice when several things arrive at once.
• Instant is right when a pause is doing the emphasis for you.

Presets

Once a zone looks right, save it as a preset from the panel. A preset carries the look and the motion — fill, stroke, reveal style, duration, easing — but never the timing. Where an element sits in a video is a property of that video, not of a style.
