Every control in the Camera section, field by field.
The Camera section, field by field. For what shots are and how to place them, start with zoom shots.
Track-level
Visible candles — how much chart the base framing shows when no shot is active. This is the export's own zoom, unlike the Editor pane's magnification control.
If a project has no camera track at all, this is the entire camera: a static fit-all framing. Every shot is then a moving sub-window of that same framing.
Per shot
| Field | Unit | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Name | text | Shown in the element list instead of the auto label |
| At candle | column | Where the glide ends |
| Offset seconds | seconds | Lets a shot arrive inside a pause or the end hold |
| Anchor to line | narration line | Overrides the column; survives a re-recording |
| Target | — | What it frames — see the table on the zoom shots page |
| Transition | seconds | Glide from the previous shot. 0 = hard cut |
| Easing | — | The speed curve of that glide |
| Zoom | strength | Region targets only; other kinds offer "Unlock free zoom" |
| Pad columns | columns | Context either side of the target |
| Pad price | % of span | Vertical headroom, as a fraction of the target's own range |
| Until | column | Release back to the whole chart. Empty = hold until the next shot |
Padding is a count of columns, not pixels. That is what keeps the preview and the export identical at any output size.
A region ships with zero price padding
Set pad price to 0 on a region target. The default padding would override the rectangle
you drew, which defeats the point of drawing it.
Buttons on a shot
- Set target to selection — points the shot at whatever is currently selected.
- Freeze framing — stops a following camera and converts the current frame into a draggable rectangle you can adjust.
- Unlock free zoom — converts any target into a region so the Zoom slider applies.
- Remove the end — clears
Until, so the shot holds until the next one. - Delete shot.
When the panel stands down
The camera does not fight two other systems:
- A locked price range owns the vertical extent, so the camera works within it. This is how a quiz keeps its framing from leaking the answer.
- A generated quiz authors exactly one shot and nothing after it, so its framing is provably static from the freeze onward.
The shot list
Every shot appears in the pinned list at the bottom of the panel with its number and arrival column. Hovering a row draws that shot's frame on the canvas without pinning it; clicking pins it. The chevron opens a shot's details without pinning.
