Look and branding
Themes and element styles
What changes only your working view, what ships in the video, and how a style is remembered for the next element.
Two sections that look similar and are not: Theme changes what you see while building, Style changes what the video looks like.
Theme — your working view only
Nothing in this section reaches the export.
| Option | What it draws |
|---|---|
| Grid | Guides in the editor pane |
| Price scale | Prices down the side while you work |
| Snap markers | Where a drag will land |
| Crosshair | Dashed lines through the pointer with price and column chips |
| Candle numbers | Column indices above every fifth candle |
| Element list | The list panel at the bottom of the properties panel |
| Safe area | Platform UI zones on a vertical video |
The grid and price scale that ship in the video are separate settings under Output — see price scale and grid.
These are per-user preferences, not project data. They follow your account rather than the project, so undo, reset, export and import cannot see them and a colleague opening your file gets their own.
Safe areas are the one deliberate exception to preview-equals-export: they are drawn in the Output pane and the export preview, and never in the exported file. See logo, product mark and safe areas.
Style — the video's look
Candle colours (Appearance → Candles) are a project palette, not a per-candle property, which is what lets a brand kit recolour a whole chart in one action. Several presets ship; any of them can be edited.
Glow is a single bloom pass over the finished picture rather than a per-element effect. Candles, levels and lines glow together, at one intensity.
Preview and export run the same pass, so what you see is what the file contains. Off is
pixel-identical to a project that never had glow at all.
Element styles
Each tool remembers the last look you used, so the next zone matches the previous one without being told to.
Presets go further: a named style you save once and apply anywhere, shared across every kind. A preset carries the look and the motion — fill, stroke, typeface, reveal style, duration, easing, and the element's sound — but never the timing. Where an element sits in a video is a property of that video.
That split has a practical consequence: applying a preset saved before some field existed leaves that field alone rather than resetting it, so old presets keep working as the app grows.
Build a style set before you build a series
Save a zone, a level and a title preset once, and every video after that starts consistent. Presets are per-account, so they are there in a new project.
